2018 vintage was a standout year for Mudgee wins, despite the long dry weather in much of New South Wales. Mudgee has been very fortunate with idea rainfall in late December and early January, and a warm finish towards veraison has led to low disease pressure and responsible irrigation.
The single vineyard wines produced by Cael’s Gate are made from vines planted in 1996, and matured in new premium French oak barrels.
